Its main business scope is the research, development, production, sales and service of flexible DC, energy interconnection, DC transmission and transformation distribution equipment.
With the core task of building a new type of AC/DC hybrid power system, the company provides technical support for promoting the development of energy internet and plays a key role in achieving carbon neutrality goals. The company focuses on theoretical research, technological breakthroughs, equipment development and engineering applications, and its product series covers flexible DC switches, power conversion, optical storage and direct flexible systems, power quality management and other fields. In the field of DC, the key technologies such as DC circuit breaker, DC load switch, converter valve, power electronic transformer, power router, DC transformer, DC building power supply, energy control system are studied. In the field of AC, the company has developed key products such as fast switch, flexible transformer, dual-power fast switching device, and intelligent fault current limiting, and is committed to upgrading the traditional AC power grid to improve the operation safety of the power grid. For the field of comprehensive energy utilization, the company carries out the simulation, design and related equipment development and manufacturing of optical storage and direct flexible system, aiming to improve the efficiency of power utilization in industrial parks, buildings and municipal power supply scenarios, and to reduce costs and increase efficiency for users.
The product parameters of 375V~500kV DC circuit breaker, 10kV DC load switch and MW-class multi-port power electronic transformer developed by the company have reached the international leading level, and have been successfully applied to a number of national key demonstration projects and achieved good performance, including the State Grid Zhangbei 500kV DC Power Grid Demonstration Project, the CSG Zhuhai “Internet+” Smart Energy Demonstration Project, the CSG Dongguan AC-DC hybrid distributed renewable energy demonstration project, the State Grid Suzhou medium and low voltage DC power distribution, etc.
In terms of research on new products and technologies, the company has joined hands with Tsinghua University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, North China Electric Power University, China Electric Power Research Institute, CSG Electric Power Research Institute and many other universities and research institutes to carry out research on DC system scheme design, DC system simulation and calculation, DC equipment R&D and other topics, and developed a number of commercialized products with advanced technical parameters, reliable operation and strong comprehensive competitiveness, which have boosted the development of DC.
