SF6 Hybrid Switchgear (Hybrid Gas Insulated metal-enclosed Switchgear, abbreviated as HGIS), also known as semi-enclosed compact switchgear. It first appeared in the late 1970s. It consists of dead tank circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, fast earthing switches, and current transformers etc.
SF6 Hybrid Switchgear (Hybrid Gas Insulated metal-enclosed Switchgear, abbreviated as HGIS), also known as semi-enclosed compact switchgear. It first appeared in the late 1970s. It consists of dead tank circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, fast earthing switches, and current transformers etc. These components are connected according to users’ different main line requirements and enclosed in metal enclosure filled with SF6 gas, to be used in conjunction with overhead busbars. HGIS's basic components are shared with GIS components. It combines the advantages of GIS such as compact structure, small footprint, high reliability, and low maintenance workload, with the advantages of AIS such as low cost and convenient maintenance flexibility. It is particularly suitable for projects such as power station equipment upgrades and renovations where land is abundant and investment is tight.
The 550kV HGIS produced by Shandong Taikai High Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd. is based on the company's GIS research of the same voltage level. It complies with the national standard GB7674-2008 Gas-Insulated metal-enclosed switchgear with rated voltage of 72.5kV and above and meets the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC60517 High-voltage metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear. All its internal components meet the requirements of national standards.
